I am an artist with a love for all things nostalgic and vintage based in Austin, Texas. I’ve had a passion for the arts since I was little growing up in Iowa. Whether creating in the art room, riding horses at the barn, or hanging out at my grandfather’s farm; my early years have formed my nostalgic style. I cultivated my skills further by studying at Savannah College of Art and Design. As I have grown and honed my craft, I have found myself drawn to graphite, charcoal, watercolor, and fabric painting as my preferred mediums. I hope that my art gives all who see it a welcome jolt of nostalgia.
Like all the other old souls out there, I am constantly drawn toward anything classic and vintage. My work often portrays this sense of nostalgia and timelessness. I am enthralled with objects, people, and places which show their wear and tear of time. The pieces I create are continually influenced by books, classical artists, and my surroundings. When working on books I want to give them a new purpose and life where they will be seen and cherished. As I have developed my craft I have been drawn to charcoal, graphite, ink, and watercolor. I have found that these mediums compliment and create a vintage feel. My pieces embrace the time worn pages creating ageless and time-honored artworks.
